Strategies in the Texas Hold Em tournament can be many. In fact, every player has a strategy of his or her own to win the game and therefore there are no limits to how many strategies can be known for the game. Whatever the strategy is, it must be one that allows the player to be free in his or her ways of executing a move. While you are playing in the tournament and at some point, you have gathered enough chips to get the other player think twice before making a move; you should know that you have to make the move on the pot. This can be done irrespective of whether you have a good hand or not. Once you are at the game, you are expected to make a move eventually because waiting for a good hand may or may not take a while to turn up.
While playing Texas Hold Em poker game, the last thing you want is that, you have nothing and the other player gets a chance to call you because they have a lot of chips. The first rule of playing Texas Hold Em Poker is that you keep the stack sized balanced. Unbalanced stack sizes are risky and they may indicate that you are going to be called out soon by your counterpart. At some point of the tournament, if you realise that you have reached that climax of the game when the other player can call your name out any moment, you should know that that is the end of your game. Make moves wisely and keep the stack sizes balanced higher than that of your counterpart because even if you win the pot with low stack sizes, it is not going to change a big deal in your counter part’s stack.
At times the players are so overtaken by the thought that they might be called out any moment that they lose touch with the game and forget to make the right move faster. As a result, they end up playing defensive and give away their stacks. Thereby, ending up with los stack sizes. This gets the player to a situation where even if he or she gets a great hand, it is of no use because he or she would not have the desired number of chips. Therefore, do not keep pressurizing by the thought of losing the game to the other player but stay calm and try to challenge yourself by making the move as quickly and as wisely as possible. Let your fear not decide the game’s result.
If the stack size has come down to only four or five times the big blind, it is time that you make a move immediately. If your stack is lesser than four or five times the big blind, playing the game further would be useless. Do not hesitate to make the move even if you do not have the great hand. You just have to make the move unless you want to lose the game.
